I recently did business with A Shade Better.A really nice salesmen came to my home & measured all my windows for plantation shutters.
Anyone who has ever purchased plantation shutters knows this is a true investment. I had an appointment for the installation of the first two windows but received an unfortunate phone call late afternoon the day before the appointment. We had a family member pass. I had to leave to go out of town but called first thing the next morning to reschedule my installation.
The young lady who answered the phone took my name & placed me on hold. When she came back to the phone she informed me that she would prefer i keep the appointment because if I reschedule her worker would have nothing to do that day after 1:30pm. Needless to say I was shocked at her response. I then advised her that I could not be available today and the reason why.
I asked again when i could reschedule the installation. She gave me the time for the following Monday and abruptly said goodbye and hung up! I called back & spoke with a pleasant gentleman who imformed me she was the office manager & the owners were not in. I asked if I could leave a message for one of the owners to return my call.
He said he would take the information & placed me on hold. Michelle, the rude female, then came on the line advising me the owners were her parents! She went on to tell me her father was in the hospital and her mother was taking care of her father and could not be reached. I then gave her the courtesy in my response to this statement that she never gave me.
I also advised her that i did not appreciate her rudeness and the fact that she hung up on me. She never apologized for her actions. She just went on to inform me that she would have appreciated an earlier call from me to reschedule so that she could have found something else for her worker to do. I was appalled!
I advised I would keep the next appointment with her since the shutters were already paid for but that i would not purchase the rest of the shutters from her. She then got even more nasty with me by stating they had been in business for 30 years.
I took this to mean that she didn't care about my opinion & my money didn't matter to her.Needless to say I will not be doing anymore business with this company & will be glad to share my experience with as many people as I can.
